About me
As an avid hiker and all things outdoor enthusiast, I frequently carry my photography gear into captivating destinations. However, I am a firm believer that you can create an equally beautiful image in your backyard as you can on a mountaintop.
While I love a classic landscape of a recognizable landmark, I often opt to shoot abstract compositions that depict a feeling of place rather than a direct snapshot of it. Sometimes, this means playing with shutter speeds and capturing the movement of water. Other times this means using long lenses to compress space and fill the frame. I often revisit destinations and believe that the best pictures come with time and knowledge of a place. For me, subtle fluctuations in light, the flow of the tide, or changes in the weather can make all the difference in an image.
I’ve loved learning from brilliant artists at Maine Media Workshops + College, Santa Fe Photographic Workshops, and Chris Burkard Workshops. My photographs are included in numerous private collections and have been displayed at a variety of galleries and small businesses across the country.
